Ken C. Burke, 75, of St. George, Utah, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2018, at his home surrounded by his beloved wife, Lu Ann Burke of 46 years, and his loved ones.
Ken C. Burke was born May 24, 1943 in Ogden, Utah, to Henry J. Burke, Jr. and Laura M. Musgrave. He is the middle child of five siblings, sisters, LeiLoni Drake, and Dixie Warren; and brothers, Myland, and Grant Burke.
He is survived by his wife, Lu Ann Burke; his sisters, and brother, Myland, his children, daughters, Shellie Palau and Theresa Loy, sons, Tony and James Florez; his grandchildren; Tom Loy, Casey Middleton, Cole Palau and Tawni, Taylor and Tory Florez; and 10 great-grandchildren.
At the age of 22, Ken was drafted into the U.S. Army where he was deployed to Korea to serve in the "Second" Korean War. After returning home he worked for Community Action of Utah, for many years before retiring to St. George.
Ken was best known for tinkering in his shop, where you could always find him making fun projects out of junk and a "LOT" of horseshoes, he loved welding.
When he wasn't tinkering he would be found riding the hills of St. George on his side by side with his beautiful wife, or out shooting pistols, or sometimes just simply taking a joy ride in his favorite VW Bug.
He was a devoted and loving husband, father, son, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was adored and loved by many and will be truly missed.
His graveside services will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018, at 1 p.m., at the Ogden City Cemetery at 1875 Monroe Boulevard, Ogden, Utah 84401.
