Kelsie Shey Mulford-Horlacher, 44, of West Valley City, passed away on June 2nd.
Kelsie was born on June 20th in Salt Lake City, Utah to Jim and Julie Mulford.
From the time she was very young Kelsie was drawn to music. She loved to sing, was amazing at the piano, and became a beautiful dancer.
Kelsie attended Granger High School. She had many friends there with whom she remained close through the years. To know Kelsie was to love her. She made friends everywhere she went and was a loyal friend to the end.
After high school, Kelsie taught dance for over 20 years at various studios in the Salt Lake Valley. She also owned her own dance studio, Beyond Dance. Kelsie loved the underdog. She had a magical way of making every dancer feel like they were her favorite.
In 2008, Kelsie married Tyson Horlacher. Kelsie and Tyson have three beautiful daughters, Keira, Tylie, and Lakely. As a family they enjoyed camping together. Their favorite place to go was the red rock of Capitol Reef and Torrey, Utah. She always said it was her heaven on earth.
She will be remembered for her big personality, irreverent jokes, contagious laugh, big heart, and passion for dance. Her dancers will forever hear her booming voice counting 5-6-7-8! Her family will always remember her love for her children and her impersonations of Kermit the Frog and Cher.
She is survived by her husband Tyson, her daughters Keira, Tylie, and Lakely Horlacher and her step-son Blake Miller, her parents Jim and Julie Mulford, and siblings Laurie Thompson (Simon), Teresa (Jarrod) Marx, Jeff (Liz) Mulford, Jordan (Michelle) Mulford.
Kelsie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
A viewing will be held Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 10:30 AM with the funeral service following at 1:00 PM at the Western Hills 4th Ward, 5107 South 5600 West, Kearns, Utah. Interment to follow services at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive, Millcreek, Utah.
