West Jordan, Utah -
Aaron John Marshall was born June 8, 1975 in Sunnyvale, CA to Garry and Nancy Marshall. Born with cleft lip and palate, Aaron started off strong and determined to face challenges with positivity and perseverance. He grew up in Centerville, UT with his family and was often seen riding his bike around the foothills. He was a hard worker and knew the value of money at a young age. At age 11, he secured his first job picking vegetables at a local farm. He was told he could out pick many of the older workers.
Aaron served a 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Virginia. He fell in love with the people there and the act of serving others. His mission focused strongly on the "Ammon model", a model that focuses on serving others. He raked leaves, helped people move, redid a roof, worked at a zoo, and organized a yard sale fundraiser for a family in need. He loved helping others and carried that love throughout his life. He loved his mission and spoke fondly of it often.
Aaron met the love of his life, Andrea, the day after coming home from his mission. They met at a single adult dance at Saltair. He loved telling people she asked him to dance but he asked for her number. After dating 18 months, they were married March 25, 1998 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Aaron graduated from the University of Utah in 2001 and immediately started making a name for himself in the real estate business. By 2003, he found his niche listing and selling REO and bank foreclosure properties and began building his team. He was awarded The Large Sales Team of the Year in 2009 for the Salt Lake Board of Realtors Association. The Marshall Team ranked as Top 100 Sales Associate Teams by the Wall Street Journal for two years running, 2010-2011. As an avid real estate investor, agent, and broker, he could also be heard every Saturday morning on "Utah Real Estate with the Marshall" on 105.7 KNRS, in 2008-2013. In August of 2013, Aaron sold his real estate team to focus solely on the property management business. He and his business partner founded Keyrenter Property Management. Since its inception in 2013, they have grown the business to over 50 offices nationwide managing over 6,000 properties.
Aaron feels strongly that every success in life is dependent on building long lasting positive relationships, both personally and professionally. He was passionate about helping people prepare for their financial future through entrepreneurship and real estate investment. In his personal life, Aaron loved traveling with Andrea and their three children. He always had a trip planned so there was something to look forward to. They have traveled together as a family and as a couple and loved making memories together. His advice, get life insurance, and travel - don't wait!
Aaron is survived by his wife, Andrea, and his three children, Adam, Abigail, and Alex. He is also survived by his parents, Garry and Nancy, his Parents-in-law, Boyd and Rebecca McGee, his siblings, Gaylene (Corey), Richard (Briana), Josh (Heather), and siblings-in-law: Matt (Jasmine), Melanie (Brett), Allison (Ben), Kevin (Megan).
