Amadeo Sanchez

Magna, Ut - Amadeo Sanchez passed away peacefully at the home of his daughter JoAnn and son-in-law Dennis the morning of January 5, 2017. He was born December 17, 1929 in Taos, New Mexico to Jose M. and Sencionita Muniz Sanchez. He married Anita Sanchez, later divorced whom he remained great friends with years later including their coffee and lunch visits.

He is survived by his 3 children, JoAnn (Dennis) Landers, Marie (Art) Speer and Joseph Sanchez, 1 brother Silviano (Olivia) Sanchez, 6 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. He is proceeded in death by his parents and Anita Sanchez, 2 sisters Delfina and Mary, brothers Santos and Demecio and a special friend, Nora.

Amadeo worked for Kennecott at the young age of 18 for 36 years. His greatest passion was all of his grandchildren. His second passion was his many trips to Wendover where he accquired VIP status at all the casinos. He loved having Bloody Marys, Cold Beer, Margaritas and barbecues on the patio so he could watch the deer and birds. He was able to enjoy his 87th birthday this past December with the family. He always loved "Fiestas".

The family would like to give a special thank you to, A Step Forward Hospice and his kind, caring and loving nurses Jeff, Stephanie, Jenn and Leslie. Thank you for taking special care of him. We would also like to thank Visiting Angels. Per his request there will be no services. A celebration of life will take place in his honor with family at a later date.
