Amos Aaron Ames passed away peacefully at the age of 50 on Monday, September 2, 2024 with his family, in his favorite place to be--his Aunt Wendy's home. He may be gone but it is through the memories he created that he will not be forgotten. We learned many lessons from Amos. Most of all how to be patient. He was so loving and such a wonderful uncle. He loved to take the little ones to the monster trucks, an amusement park, or just to hang out at home with them. His favorite nieces were Latisha and Zondrea, he spent lots of time with them and Latisha's 2 girls.
Amos loved fishing, shooting, and camping with his family and friends. Amos was the life of the party. He would go river tubing with his family--he always loved to have something fun to go down river on. The most favorite thing for Amos was to work anything and specifically on motors with his cousin and best friend, Jordan Wilson along with his uncle David Wilson. They taught each other how to be patient with one another--always joking or telling jokes. He loved when his brother Aaron would pick him up from dialysis or take him in his car to do things or just talking. They really loved one another. Amos' laugh was contagious! His sister, Andrea, became his caretaker at the end, she was always with him and even when he was being difficult she would stick it out, he loved his sister.
Amos was preceded in death by his father Aaron Dale Ames; his grandparents David Melvin Flitton & Georgie Louise Flitton, Ruben and Dorothy Ames; and his uncle Ron Melvin Flitton.
Amos is survived by his mother Lola Louise Ames; his sister Andrea Aaron Ames; his brother Aaron Amy Ames; his aunt and uncle, cousins, and his niece and nephews.
We would like to thank the dialysis unit and all of the doctors and staff at Provo Intermountain Hospital for all of the loving care they provided for Amos.
