She has 2 beloved grandchildren, Michael Ladjack of Port Angeles Washington, and Kevin Shields of Fairfax Va. Also 3 great-grandchildren Kira, Benjamin and Rowan Shields. She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Anna and her brothers and sisters, Emily, Ruth, Robert and William. Her ashes will be tenderly preserved till one day they will be sprinkled over the Nevada mountains with her husband's, a view they both enjoyed so much from their Las Vegas retirement home.
Besides her family, she had a great love of the many friends she made throughout her life and enjoyed spending time with them whenever she could. Her doors were always open to friends and family. Everyone in Woodbridge knew mom was in the kitchen of the local Stewart's Root Beer for so many years preparing their food as the chief cook on the evening shift in the 60's and 70's. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and doing puzzles. She also loved to travel and never turned down an opportunity to do so, including her many trips to Alaska, being on a cruise ship or just a long ride in the car. While living for over 20 years with her husband and dogs Chipper and Skipper in Las Vegas, she enjoyed tending her vegetable garden and indoor plants. She also loved playing the deuces wild machines as well as bingo at the local Sam's Town casino. Yelling "Bingo" always put a big smile on her face! She will be so sorely missed by all who loved her, but never ever forgotten. We love you mommy!
