"My mother was the strongest and most determined woman I've ever known. I will forever admire you, miss you, and I shall carry your love in my heart, and your wisdom in my soul for the rest of my days." -Melissa Hall
On July 13, 2024, our beloved mother, Anneliese Kathy Maxwell left this earthly estate to enter her deserved eternal rest and reunite with her loving husband, sons and many family members too numerous to list. Anneliese was born in Wobesde, Germany on June 4, 1941. She later moved to Landshut, and then to the United States where she became a U.S. citizen. Anneliese and her husband Reuel were blessed with 4 children. Their eldest son Richard Maxwell, eldest daughter Tanya Wallace, youngest daughter Melissa Hall, and youngest son James Maxwell.
Anneliese was an amazing woman. She was charismatic, compassionate and loving. She was happiest when she was surrounded by family and close family friends. She was the glue that held the family together. She was proud of her family. She easily made friends wherever she went. She had many hobbies and was famous for her cooking; she would always cook enough to feed a small army. She loved music and singing; the Tabernacle Choir wanted her to sing with them but she was too shy. She was stylish and always enjoyed looking her best. She had an affinity for shoes, especially high heels, and had an enormous collection to show for it. She and her husband enjoyed raising quarter-horses, camping, fishing, boating, German cooking, traveling, horseback riding, and motorcycle riding. She especially loved doing these things with family and close friends. She was a successful businesswoman with ethics of the highest standard. She earned a Nursing Degree. Then went on to co-own Hillside Villa Care Center and West Jordan Care Center. She was a woman of honor, virtue, faith, hope and charity.
She preceded in death by her mother Marie Lawrenz; father Franz Lawrenz; husband Donald Reuel Maxwell; youngest son James Maxwell; eldest son Richard Maxwell and daughter-in-law Michele Maxwell; grandson Joshua Wallace; sister Waltraud Linner; brother-in-law Erich Linner; and other cherished family and friends too numerous to list.
She is survived by her loving daughters Tanya Wallace (sons, Christopher Stauffer, Jeremy Stauffer, and the late Joshua Wallace) and Melissa Hall (daughter Nina Pearson and husband Devin); her late son Richard Maxwell, survived by his three daughters, Anneliese Maxwell, Karen Maxwell, and Jamey Maxwell. She is also survived by her step-children whom she loved as her own Linda Emerson, and Daniel (Cindy) Maxwell; her ever-growing progeny of 20 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way all of whom she loved very much; her brother Rheinhard (Jerri) Lawrenz; and many other family members.
We celebrate and honor her life and can only imagine how grand a reunion this must be reuniting with her beloved eternal companion of 64 years as of July 29 and countless loved ones whom she missed greatly. Mom, there aren't words to convey how greatly you will be missed. Thank you for being our light, our safe haven and our strength. You touched so many lives in far greater ways than you will ever know. You were the brightest light in the lives of so many that loved you dearly. You are deeply loved and we will cherish your memory always as a beacon of happiness, laughter, creativity, and love.
Auf Wiedersehen, unsere schone Mutter. Mit all unserer Liebe, bis wir uns wiedersehen.
