Captain Melvin Flitton

Salt Lake City, Utah - Ronald Melvin Flitton, age 62, passed away due to a long-term illness on May 29, 2021 in West Valley City, Utah. He was born on September 4, 1959 to David Melvin Flitton and Georgia Louise Christensen Flitton.



Ronald always enjoyed his cup of 7-11 black coffee with 6 sugars, fishing, and getting the big elk or deer every season. He loved showing his son's Shaun and Shane the ropes of life as well as spending time with his two small boy's Brandon and Hotrod. Ron loved to have BBQ's in the summer with all of his family around him. Ron was also a big 49ers fan and you could not keep him away from that football season.



Ronald is survived by his significant other, Jeanene Siddoway, his 5 sons and 2 daughters. Ronnie Flitton, Shane Shears (Megan), Shaun Flitton (Shaylyn), Brandon, Kalvin (Hotrod), Amanda Marvidakis, and Shannon Crosby. His 2 brothers and 3 sisters, Michael Flitton (Carrie), Edward Thompson Flitton (Shelly), Lola Ames, Ida Darling (Robert), and Wendy Wilson (David). Along with his numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.



Ron was preceded in death by both of his parents, David Melvin Flitton, Georgia Louise Christensen Flitton. His aunt,  Geraldine Atwood; brother-in-law, Aaron Ames; and two brothers, Billy David and David Melvin.



A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 5th at 3175 South 3450 West, West Valley City, Utah, 84118. A viewing will take place from 12:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. and the funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M.
