Cheryl Orell Sjostrom Hollinger, aged 73, returned to the loving arms of her parents and sisters on February 14, 2017. She was born to Lester Charles Sjostrom and Orel Jensen on February 6, 1944 in Blackfoot Idaho. She was sealed to her best friend David Brent Hollinger on June 27, 1975 in the LDS Salt Lake Temple. Cheryl was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served a fulltime mission in the Gulf States mission, was dedicated to her church callings, family history, and serving others. She had a great love for the gospel, scriptures, family, and a strong testimony of Christ. She also enjoyed participating in her children's schools and enjoyed trying new things such drawing. Her family will remember her optimistic attitude, love of life, and the love that she showed to her family.
She is survived by her husband David Brent Hollinger, son Michael (Holly) Hollinger, three daughters Cheryl Marie Hollinger, Amy Lorraine Keeler, and Stacey Ann Hollinger, three grandchildren Charles, Ashely, and Jennie Keeler; and her Brother-In-Law Marvin Johnson. She is preceded in death by her parents Lester Charles Sjostrom and Orel Jensen, her siblings: Lois (Bruce) Barton; Berniss (Muray) Anderson; Raona (Ray) Kesler; and Evalyn Johnson.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at 11:00 am at the LDS Winder 11th Ward building located at 951 East 3825 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84106. Viewings will be held at the church on Monday, February 20, 2017, from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will be at the Memorial Mountain View Cemetery on the west side located at 3115 Bengal Boulevard, Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121.
