Loving father, grandfather, son, uncle and brother returned home to his Heavenly Father on Friday, April 1, 2016. He was born August 2, 1955 in Long Beach, California to his loving parents Ross J. Spencer and Dora Mae (Otten) Spencer. Chris grew up with a love of baseball and all things outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and spent many memorable years fishing with his family and friends. Chris served his country in the U.S. Army.
Chris was very humble and quiet and made everyone feel welcome by his friendly personality. He always had a smile on his face and was always willing to be super creative in his Halloween costumes. Chris was loved by many and was always willing to help people out whenever they were in need.
Chris was the fifth of six children. He was preceded in death by the love of his life Kathy (Kessler) Spencer and his mother Dora Mae Spencer.
Chris is survived by his father Ross J. Spencer, his children Summer Spencer and Patrick (Jen) Spencer, his granddaughters Kylie, Kamille, Olivia, Danica, and Ansley, his brother Eddie (Marnell) Spencer ,his sisters Gayliene (Bill) Lund, Sherrie (Vennie) Kraync, Kathy Stimpson, and Lori Spencer and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 7th at 2:00 P.M. at the Utah Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 17111 1700 W, Riverton, Utah 84065, where family may call from 1:00 to 1:45 P.M. prior to services at 2:00 P.M. Interment, at Utah Veterans Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Affordable Funerals & Cremations ( info@AFCFuneralHome.com ).
A Celebration of Life will me held that evening at 5:00 p.m. at the Murray Fraternal Order of Eagles located at 10 West 4th Avenue, Murray, Utah.
