Beloved father, husband, son, brother, and grandfather, Craig Jensen passed away after a valiant battle with lung cancer in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 16, 2015. He was born May 25, 1960 in Pocatello, Idaho, graduated from Murray High School in 1978, and graduated with a degree in Business from Westminster College in 1982.
Craig was a loving husband, an inspirational and very cool Dad, and the best brother and son. He was always genuine and loyal in his relationships. Craig was gentle, funny, and intelligent. He was very passionate about his interests, including skiing, golf, the Cowboys, music, and playing drums.
Craig was preceded in death by his father Ron, his sister Camille and her son Skyler, his brother Scott, his sister Kim, and his sister Shelly.
Craig is survived by his wife, Colleen; his mother and father Benita and Howard Mitchell; his children Arek Jensen (Monica), Matthew Peay, Megan Peay (David), Alex Jensen (Breann), Austin Jensen, and Kirah Jensen; his beloved grandchildren Landen, Daphne, and Kona; and his siblings Kristy Ogilvie (John), Kelly Valdez (Brent), Cory Jensen, Terri Gurzi, David Mitchell (Kim), Brad Mitchell (Linda), Steve, Stephanie (Shawn), Kenneth, and Lori (Derrick). Craig is also survived by numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, and by his former spouses Cyndi and Dawn.
An open house in celebration of Craig's life will be held at the home of his sister Kristy on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at 2148 East 11270 South, Sandy, Utah. There will be no public interment ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any organization that fights lung cancer.
