Daniel K. Grainger was born September 8, 1972 in Cedar City, Utah. He passed away September 1, 2013 in Sandy, Utah. He is survived by his father, Richard K. Grainger, and mother, Jane Bryant, and brothers and sisters.
Dan grew up in Midvale and Sandy, Utah where he attended Midvale Elementary, Union Middle School and Hillcrest High School. He participated in soccer and baseball. Scouting experiences were Cub Scouts and a member of Troup 51 as a Boy Scout.
Dan discovered reading as a youngster and was still an avid reader preferring science fiction and fantasy. As a teenager, he and his friends often gathered for roll playing games. This was a group of friends who stayed in touch through the times.
When Dan had the opportunity to attend college, he lived up to his academic potential. While working for Sauder, he progressed from the warehouse to being a dispatcher. Throughout his life, he always did things his own way. Daniel will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church located at 8575 South 700 East, Sandy, Utah from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
