Darren Kay Jensen

Darren Kay Jensen passed away on November 9, 2024 in West Jordan, Utah at the age of 61. He was born on September 8, 1963 to Kay and Christine Jensen in West Valley City, Utah. Darren grew up in the Kearns/West Valley City area. He graduated from Kearns High School in 1982 and went on to work for Gus Paulos Chevrolet for 20 years. He took pride in helping run the detail shop. 

Darren enjoyed spending his weekends down south at the farmhouse hunting, fishing, and hanging out with family and friends. He was always on call for his nephews when they wanted Uncle D to take them fishing for the day. His biggest accomplishment was just being an amazing human--a great son, brother, and friend; but most of all the best uncle. The loves of his life were his nieces and nephews. Everyone loved Uncle D. 

Darren is survived by his parents, Kay Jensen and Christine (Don) Dowell; siblings Kelly (MaryAnn) Goodrich, Kenny (Jen) Jensen, Gary (Serenna) Jensen, Ryan Jensen, Britani (Jared) Caveness, and Kortni Jensen; along with many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. 

Darren was preceded in death by his grandparents Louise (Wayne) Newbold, Richard and Maurine Nelson and his dog Remi.

There will be a viewing for Darren held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 1:00pm-3:00pm at Affordable Funerals & Cremations--Salt Lake. After the viewing there will be a Celebration of Life & Luncheon at 213 West Civic Center Drive, Sandy, Utah in the Clubhouse from 3:00pm-6:00pm.
