The tempest waters of mortal life have given way to the peaceful existence of "The life hereafter." Wrapped in the loving arms of those who passed before, our dear Dawn McLachlan Burggraaf moved from this life on June 20, 2014. Dawn's family were blessed with her birth on June 22, 1963. Her special needs provided her parents, Gordon and Twilla McLachlan, with an unyielding purpose and drive while teaching her siblings patience, love and understanding for those that God has blessed with different challenges.
Dawn was always a true blessing to all with whom she associated. She was extremely kind, deeply loved, and will be sorely missed. Solace comes in the knowledge that Dawn is once again in the loving arms of her parents and all her earthly challenges have come to an end.
The great friendship, love, and eventual marriage of Dawn and Paul Burggraaf on November 19, 2013 was a great blessing in both their lives. Their marriage provided a deep love, compassion, and companionship that enriched them both.
Dawn is survived by her husband Paul, brothers Scott McLachlan and Mike (Kim) McLachlan, sisters, Brenda (Fred) Yost, Diane (Terry) Sugden, Cherise (Don) Palmer, and Carla (Darrell) Adams. Dawn was preceded in death by her grandparents, her parents and her sister Pamela.
The Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014, at the Salt Lake City Liberty 4th Ward Chapel at 420 South 800 East, in Salt Lake City, Utah. A viewing will be held at the same location prior to the services from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Interment will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery at 200 North "N" Street.
