DONNA BOONE BROWN
Donna Boone Brown, age 52, passed away on July 4, 2018 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born January 20, 1966 in Salt Lake City. Donna was the fifth child of six children from Arkie Leonard and Charlotte (Martinez) Boone. Two brothers and two sisters were added when her parents divorced and each later re-married. Donna is survived by her beloved daughter, Laurissa Dawn (Atene) Bowsley, grandson Makailor Skoit Bowsley of Maricopa, Arizona, and her Chichuahua Max.
Donna was preceded in death by her beloved Retriever/Pyrenees/Shepherd dog Gunner Boy Boone, her brother David Behrendt, her parents Charlotte Behrendt and Arkie L. Boone. The family she leaves behind are eight siblings: Patrick Boone, Ronald Boone, Audrey Boone, Christine Boone, Mesha Melissa Boone, Braxton Boone all of Salt Lake City. DuWaine Boone of Yahtahey, New Mexico, Gina Marie (Martinez) Pino of Pima, Arizona.
After Donna's parents divorced, her dad Arkie married Marylou Smith of Fruitland, NM. Marylou lives in SLC, Utah and had a special relationship with Donna.
Donna made many friends in the Utah area, but also spent time outside of Utah. Many know her to be of a loving and friendly spirit. She was very accepting of people.
Donna worked in several industries including construction, food services, and housekeeping. She attended Job Corps in Ogden, UT where she acquired her construction skills. Later, Donna completed her High School Diploma from Wasatch County School District.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Westland 2nd Ward, 7171 South 2700 West, West Jordan, Utah. The viewing will be from 10:00 am to 10:45 am, and the funeral service from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm noon. Interment will be at the Taylorsville City Cemetery, 4575 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah.
