Everett E. Bristow, age 85, died on May 30, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born June 2, 1929 in Enders, Nebraska to Charles G. and Agnes (McDonald) Bristow. He moved to Colorado in 1936 with his parents who farmed. He graduated from Longmont High School in 1948. He joined the Air Force in 1950 and served until 1954 during the Korean Conflict. He was a B36 mechanic and panel flight engineer on B29, B50 and KC97 ground phase. After his discharge, he went to pilot school and received his commercial license. He aerial sprayed government projects for two years flying C82, B18 and C122 out of Cheyenne, Wyoming He married Mary Elen Underwood in 1957, Everett Lived in Cheyenne and raised five children. He later divorced and Married Irene (Nelson) Kirmer in 1981 and resided in Salt Lake City, Utah. Everett drove a truck for 56 years and in his spare time worked on friends autos and was an avid fan of antique cars. In 1953 he drove a Model T Ford from Ft. Worth, Texas to Cheyenne, Wyoming. Everett enjoyed his frequent adventures in his Model T driving the streets of Salt Lake City.
Survived by his wife, Irene, of 34 years, and children Karen Kritzmire, Dennis (Bonnee) Bristow, Theresa (Tim) Snyder, Bruce (Dawn) Bristow, all from Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Leonard (Toni) Bristow, Damar, Kansas. Everett had four stepchildren Douglas Kirmer, Midvale, Utah, Rob Kirmer, Wichita, Kansas, Janet (Rick) Nelson, Midland, Texas and Craig (Stephanie) Kirmer of South Jordan, Utah, eleven grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and sister Mary Lou (John) Gear of Lincoln, Nebraska. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Dale, Marvin and Ray, sisters Madeline, Bonnie, and Iris, and stepson Scott Kirmer.
Everett was a member of Southeast Christian Church. A Memorial Service will be held at Southeast Christian Church, 1881 East Vine Street, Murray, Utah 84121 on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association and/or to Southeast Christian Church.
