Gloria Michele Nielson was taken back home on November 6, 2016 to her Father in Heaven after having health complications for many years. She was born January 9, 1950 in Logan, Utah to Mark E. Nielson Jr. and Myrlyn Tueller. She had four siblings of whom are; Judi Nielson Springer (Max), Patricia Nielson Walker (Craig), Kristy Nielson Walton (Gary), and Mark Nielson III (Deceased).
She spent most of her childhood growing up in Brigham City, Utah. As a child, she worked at her grandfather's movie theater (Roxy) on Main Street in Brigham City enjoying the strong relationship she had with her grandparents. She graduated high school from Box Elder High in 1968 and later earned her Associates Degree from Salt Lake Community College.
She met Richard E. Wade while attending Utah State University and was married in the Salt Lake Temple on August 29, 1969. She held off her education to start a family and support her husband in a military venture to Fort Gordon, Georgia and transferred later to Fort Hood, Texas. They had five children together of whom are; Ryan Wade, Shane Wade, Brandon Wade, Krista Wade Eastman, and Travis Wade. She has eleven grandchildren and spent most of her time trying to find ways to spoil them any way she could.
She was employed with and retired from the Social Security Administration with exemplary service. A dedicated employee that received numerous recognition awards for her performance and loyalty to her employer. She was a very active woman who enjoyed bowling, racquetball, fishing, camping, cooking, arts and crafts, painting, music, and of course shopping. She was very involved in her children's sports, scouts, and church activities and was the mother that could multitask like no other person.
Her family was the highest priority in her life and it showed in the pure joy she had when she was around them. She was the perfect example of sacrifice, perseverance, determination, and love. She showed us that effort was all that mattered, and integrity was more important than anything else on this earth. She is the ultimate example of enduring to the end and has left that legacy to all that came in contact with her for generations to come. She will be missed, but the comfort of seeing her again is going to be a truly remarkable reunion that all of us look forward to.
Funeral services will be held at 9331 South 300 East Sandy, Utah (LDS Chapel) from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016. Viewing will be held the same day from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Following the funeral services, the interment will be at the Brigham City Cemetery, 300 East 300 South, Brigham City, Utah.
