Gloria Carole Timpke passed away on January 8th ,2021 at the age of 86 due to complications from Covid-19. She was born on May 1st, 1934, in Ogden, Utah at her grandmother's home, to Melvin Hales and Nondas Bushnell Hales.
Carole grew up in Los Angeles, California and graduated from Bell High School where she lettered in multiple sports. She was baptized in Hawaii during WWII and witnessed the bombing of Pearl Harbor. She married Earl Francis Timpke in the Mesa, Arizona Temple on June 24, 1955. They had four children and later divorced.
Carole was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving in a variety of callings. She devoted her life to her family, taking care of her parents, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in many kind and generous ways. Carole had a beautiful, ready smile and was quick to laugh at the least little thing. She worked as a bookkeeper for La Puente Lanes.
Carole is survived by her children Earl, Roxanne (David), Suzanne, and Nathan; her 23 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Nondas, her brothers Bud and Ron.
A private memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 16th, 2021 at 11:00am at the Hidden Valley Stake Center in St. George, Utah. Interment will be at the Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier, California on Tuesday, January 19th at 12:00 pm.
