Helen W Sanders

Helen W Sanders, age 89, passed peacefully on July 31, 2022. She was born on June 26, 1933, in Miami, Florida to Herbert Sydney Whitehead and Violet Marie Banks.
She married Wentsel Dalton Sanders in 1954.
Helen enjoyed, crocheting, playing the piano and organ at church, reading, fishing, swimming, cooking, and genealogy among other things. Helen loved attending the LDS church and singing with the sisters in Relief Society.
Helen had various jobs throughout her life but she was most proud of the following two; one being the co-administrator for the Las Vegas Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada for approximately 26 years; and the other as co-owner with her husband at D & H Marine Services for many years.
Helen is survived by her daughter Diane Mangiapane, her daughter Marilee A Sanders, and her son Joseph E. Sanders (wife Sherry Sanders). Also, Diane’s sons John Mangiapane and Dominic Mangiapane; Marilee’s son Jon Garcia, and Joseph’s children Christopher Sanders, Diane Barnett and Brenda Lambert. Helen also has 11 great grandchildren. They are, from oldest to youngest, William Barnett, Eva Sanders, Noah Barnett, Brianna Lambert, Nicolas Sanders, Joseph Lambert, Timothy Lloyd, Isabel Lambert, Alistair Garcia, and twins Joseph and James Mangiapane.
She is also survived by her sister Ann Whitehead Schreiber.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wentsel Dalton, known to everyone as “Dal” Sanders.
A memorial will be held in Louisiana at a future date.
