Ioane J Soifua

1957 ~ 2014

Ioane J. Soifua passed away May 14, 2014 in Ogden, Utah.  He was born March 11, 1957 in Western Samoa to Sione Muaina Soifua and Taavaoga Tofilau.

Ioane loved to spend time with his family and friends.  He was employed as an electrician and was actively involved in golf.

He is survived by his wife, Angela Wong; his daughter, Peleise Cecelia Maiava Soifua; his mother, Ta'avaoga Tofilau; his brother, Ailaoa, and his wife Shirley Roche and their chidren, Phia, Lou, Sifou, Salome, Lena, Lysa and Josiah; his sister, Saumolia Pearson and her husband, Michael Pearson and their children, Dino, Jack, and Nia; his brother, Jerry, and his wife, Kuini Seiuliali'i and their children, Jerry, Joshua and Wyatt; his brother, Mapusaga and his wife Camilla Lealaitafea and their children, Naomi, Sila, Destiny and Vaeoletalalei; his sister, Sofarania Semo and her husband, Richard Semo; his sister, Peleise Aiono and her husband, Tupu Aiono and their children, Saumolia and Teena; his brother, Fa'agalo and his wife, Atalina and their children, Alisa, Katrina, Mapusaga, and Canton; his brother, Canton and his wife, Rebekah Otake and their children, Taylor, Courtney, Annalee, SeHyeon, and HyeJeong; his brother, Nas and Kaisarina and their children, Fa'agalo, Peleise, and Saio; his nephew, Johnny and his wife, Mele and their children, Ofa, Manase and Marley.  He is preceded in death by his father, Sione Muaina Soifua.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the LDS Sauniatu Ward located at 4950 South 1950 West, Salt Lake City, UT with a viewing to be held that same day beginning at 9:00 a.m.   Friends and family may also call at a viewing to be held Wednesday evening, May 21, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the same location.
