1950 ~ 2014

Jacquelyn Rae Adams, 63, passed away peacefully at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 19, 2014. She was a long time resident of Wendover, Utah and West Wendover, Nevada.

Jackie was born to Virginia Salisbury Jacobs Pearson and Raymond Boyce Jacobs on July 28, 1950. She graduated from Kearns High School before going to Radford Women's College in Virginia. Jackie's year with Radford allowed her to play her flute with the college band in New York City at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. A year later, Jackie continued her education at Utah State University in Logan, Utah. She went to Wendover with her wonderful friend, Vickie Morley, for a summer job where she met and married her husband, Ralph. They have a son, Justin Ralph whom they love dearly. Together, they were sealed with their son in the Salt Lake Temple.

Jackie was a fun loving, happy person and wonderful wife and mother. She supported her husband in his career as a magician and was his assistant on a cruise ship for three months. She went to every football game Justin played in and would invite her family to drive from Salt Lake City to see his games.

Jackie loved her crafts and had great talents and abilities. She painted many oil landscapes for her home and gave as gifts to her family and friends. She was a great cook and homemaker. Her potato salad was the best!

Jackie loved people and when her son was grown, she worked at the casinos in Wendover. Her co-workers at the Peppermill will miss Jackie's infectious smile and laughter.  She loved everyone and unofficially adopted the "Polish Kids" that worked in the casinos. She made up at least sixteen Christmas socks one year.

Working with the public in magic shows and dealing cards at the casinos, Jackie would always look her best. She had wonderful decorated nails.

Traveling was something Jackie would love to do. When she came home from a trip, she was already planning where she wanted to visit next. Some of the places she went to include Prague, Germany, Scandinavia, Europe, and was planning a trip to China when she was diagnosed with cancer.

Jackie was preceded in death by her father, Boyce Jacobs. She is survived by her husband and son, Ralph and Justin Adams. She is also survived by her mother, Virginia Pearson, and her sisters and brothers; Maureen (Jerry) Knapp, Rick (Mary) Jacobs, Jenny (Craig) Allinger, Joe (Dianne) Jacobs, Christine McQueen, Paula (Steve Darton) Jacobs, Pat Jacobs and many nephews and nieces.

A celebration of Jackie's life will take place at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, 269 Second Street, Wendover, Utah on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 1:00 p.m.
