Jim was born July 29, 1958, in Inglewood, California. He passed away on April 6, 2023, at home in West Valley, Utah. He was 64 years old and was an amazing man despite many struggles throughout his life.
He was married twice and had three daughters.
Jim had a Bachelor’s degree in Audio-Visual and his career included many years in that field, with nine years at Audio-Visual Services Corporation and seven years as a private Audio-Visual Contractor. He played the drums in music groups in California and Utah and played guitar in his church band.
During the last five years of his life, he had finally found peace and asked the Lord to come into his heart.
Jim was survived by his family: Mother: Carolyn Perkins, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Father: Robert Perkins, Tustin, California, Brothers: Joseph Perkins, Ironton, Missouri, Daniel Perkins (Leslie) and Sister: Kelly Perkins, Tustin California. His good friend Brian Baker will always be remembered for his friendship with Jim.
