James Eldon McNicol Jr.

James Eldon McNicol Jr., passed away on January 23, 2025 at the age of 75. James was born on October 15, 1949 to James Eldon McNicol Sr. and Betty Mae Gibson. He was married to Dana Lee McNicol (Smith). He worked as a mechanic for civilian services and carried on the family tradition by serving in the United States Marine Corps. James also served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Chris of Latter-day Saints. 

James enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and was an all-around outdoorsy man. He also enjoyed spending his time serving in the Tooele Army Depot. 

James Eldon McNicol Jr. was preceded in death by his parents; James Eldon McNicol Sr. and Betty Mae Gibson; and other family members George Hornback and Scot McNicol. He is survived by wife Dana Lee McNicol (Smith); son Raymond Hornback; David and new wife; Stephanie McAfee and spouse; and Gordon McNicol; siblings Helen and Husband, Kathy Lewis, Michelle Brinkerhoff, Karen and husband; along with his two step-children, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, uncles, and aunts.
