On August 15th, 2024 Janet Hintze Boren returned home to our Heavenly Father. Janet was born on June 11th, 1953 to Bruce and Eva Jean Hintze. She was the middle child, 2 older sisters, Diane, Denise, and a younger sister and brother, Lisa, Brian.
Janet grew up in Salt Lake City, on June 9th, 1972 she married her high school sweetheart in the Salt Lake Temple. John and Janet went on to have 5 children. John Trenton, Teresa (Coleman), Stephanie, Steven, and Brandon. Janet was a loving, dedicated mother. She enjoyed sewing and she was always up for camping trips, which gave her children cherished memories.
Janet was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. She had many church callings over the years in Primary, Young Women’s and Relief Society.
Janet had many creative talents. She loved making crafts, woodworking, sewing, and floral arrangements. The passion Janet had for creating beautiful floral designs led her to her 22 year job at Dan’s Fresh Market as the Floral Manager. She was known for making custom floral arrangements. She loved all the friends she made over the years working at Dan’s.
Janet’s greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren, Jordan, Ryder, Khloe, Emily, Johnny, Nickolas, Giordy, Brandone, and her great granddaughter, Nova.
Janet is preceded in death by her mother, Eva Jean, her daughter, Stephanie, grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held August23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints located at 2535 East Newcastle Drive (9040 So.), Sandy, Utah 84093. A private viewing will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. A viewing will be held Thursday August 22nd at the church at 6 PM. Interment will be at Memorial Holladay Cemetery 4670 South Highland Drive immediately after the funeral service.
