Jason was born to Jay and Mary Tilby in January of 1942. He was the 5th of 7 children. Jason is survived by his wife, Shannon, his brother Brian (June) and his sisters, Tamera and Christine (Mike), his sons, Shon (Patti) and Trent (Nancy) and daughters, Tiffany (Shane), Kayte and Jeanette (Daniel) and his grandkids, Taylor Ann (Tyler), Weston, Dallin, Ashton, Landon, Tierra, Brayden, Trey (Maddie), Keithan, Sadie, Aynslee and one great-grandson, Colston.
Jason was well-loved and respected. He worked hard and loved even harder. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was kind and caring - always willing to go out of his way to help those around him. He was patient without measure and continually in the service of those around him. He routinely went above and beyond, but always put his family first. He taught life lessons, usually in an unconventional way, and was a wealth of knowledge on a great number of topics and held many degrees, including his Juris Doctorate. He eagerly shared his knowledge and experience with others. His passions included being with his family, shooting, flying, golfing and napping - all of which he excelled at. His other non-conventional hobbies included watching planes take off and land and watching cows eat.
He had several careers, working as a medical technologist in California, Idaho and Utah and a lawyer in California and Idaho. He also obtained his pilot's license and flew for years before hanging up his wings. He had a profound love of music and played French horn in college and later, for several years with the Burley Philharmonic Orchestra. Jason touched every life he came in contact with and he will be greatly missed.
The viewing will be held Thursday, March 14th from 6pm - 8pm and the funeral will be Friday, March 15th at noon with a viewing at 11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral. Services will be held at the LDS church building 6253 W 6200 S Kearns, UT 84118. The funeral is being coordinated by Affordable Funerals and Cremations 5239 Green Pine Dr. Murray, UT 84123.
