Our beloved Jay Eugene Ostler passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015. He was born in Salt Lake City to Verna Kartchner and Merril Ostler on September 14, 1935. He married his sweetheart, Sarah Douglas, on December 27, 1962, in the Logan Temple.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah; children, Sally Morwood (Rick), Jay Ostler, Jr. (Bethany), Rachel Fullmer, Verna Greenwell (Brad), Rebekah Blackburn (Dennis), Camille Thompson (Jake), Doug Ostler (Alison), Mary Jensen (Tim), Julia Rocque (Ryan); sister, Judy Mayorga; 43 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Merril Ostler; and his daughter, Rosgena Mockler.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2015, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the LDS church located at 6253 West 6200 South. The funeral service will be held at the Oquirrh Point Stake Center (6270 West 7000 South, West Jordan) on Friday, April 3, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. preceded by a viewing at 10:00 a.m. Interment at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery (1950 East 10600 South, Sandy).
