Jerome Dale Wilcox

Jerome Dale Wilcox went to his heavenly home on August 5th, 2023, in St. George, Utah. Jerome was born on September 3rd, 1933, at Timber Lake, South Dakota to Lucius P. Wilcox and Vera Margaret Eads. He joined three brothers and two sisters. Later he was blessed to have five more siblings.
Jerome served in the U.S. Airforce during the Korean Conflict. He was stationed in the Philippines and received and honorable discharge.
He married Irma Kenefake on March 3rd, 1962. To this union he became a father to Russell (Rusty) and a daughter Tamella Jean. The divorces in 1976 and then in 1981 married JoAnn Helquist in Blanding, Utah.
Jerome lived in various areas during his lifetime, South Dakota, Florida, Colorado, California and Utah. He has many different occupations during these years and retired from the Post Office in South Jordan, Utah. He was always a good provider for his family and took pride in his yard in St. George after his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his wife JoAnn, parents, sisters. Geraldine, Ardith, Norma, Avenella, Nila, Marva; brothers, Lucius, Gary, Lloyd and Floyd, and a daughter Tamella.
Survivors include a sister Carol in Indiana; son, Rusty of Alaska, four grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and several stepchildren and step grandchildren, including a special granddaughter Jenni Thompson and there children who cared for him in his final days.
Jerome was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and will be inurned in Blanding, Utah next to his beloved wife Jo-Ann. No services are planned currently.
