Jerrell Lamar Whittaker passed away January 4, 2018 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born October 24, 1973 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Jerry Lyn Whittaker and Madeline Ann Walker. His significant other was Paula Henderson and through their union, he leaves behind his one and only daughter, Journee Ja'lae Whittaker.

Jerrell started young in his life his love for football and basketball. He was known as "the DVD man". Jerrell was great as a salesman.

He is survived by his mother Madeline A. Walker, sisters Angelique Figueroa, Janesa D. Whittaker, Jaylene L. Whittaker, god sisters Felicia Brownlee, Celestine Christy, Tamara Johnson, Yolanda Marshall, Chica Bird and Sheila Lucas, god brother George Green and Desmond Parsons (Chill), younger brother Julian Walker (Traci), brothers Virgil Lucas, Scott Williams, Robert Calvin, and Anthony Rubio, nephews Jayonn Young, Alex Figueroa, Eddie Figueroa, nieces Aya Walker, Jishaya Brooks, cousin Travis Cook who helped the family so much during this difficult time, his only surviving uncle Michael S. Whittaker who truly loved Jerrell, and his dearest aunt Arlene Ezidore-Whittaker. He is also survived by his special aunt Charmaine Parker, cousins LaMoya Baker, Ayuna Hicks, T.J. Anderson and Carlos S. Aviles who was raised as Jerrell's brother by their "granny". A special thanks for family support to Jerrell's aunt Donna Anderson and aunt Robin Turner.

He was precede in death by his father Jerry Lyn Whittaker, and his grandmothers Annie L. Walker and Dorothy Whittaker.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018, 2:30 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church located at 1090 South State Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84111 with Reverend Davis.

Jerrell leaves behind a host of friends and relatives who will always love and miss him.
