Coeur d'Alene, Idaho - Joel George Carling, age 76, passed away on July 31, 2021. He was born on May 17, 1945 in Payson, Utah to Benner and Olga Carling.
Joel enjoyed hunting, skiing, fishing, camping, learning about the Universal Model, spending time with family and friends, dancing, ATV riding, jet skiing, traveling, and he was a Utah Sterling Scholar in art.
Joel is survived by his seven children, David (Shauna) Carling, Matthew (Tara) Carling, Aaron Carling, Sarah Carling-Guerra, Paul Carling, Jared Carling, and Martha (Jeremy) Haddock; his 24 grandchildren, and one great grandson.
Joel is preceded in death by his parents, Benner and Olga Carling; and one brother, Gordon Carling.
A Graveside service will be held for Joel on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 12:00pm at the Fillmore City Cemetery, 350 East 600 South, Fillmore, Utah. A viewing will be held at 11am at the LDS Chapel, 25 South 300 West, Fillmore, Utah.
