Kathleen June Lea Smith age 74 passed away on May 21, 2018, she was born on September 21, 1943 in Salt lake City, Utah to Lloyd Leon Lea and Margaret Mildred Lea.
She Married Ronald LaDoan Smith on September 22, 1965. Later they were solemnized in the Salt lake Temple.
She graduated from West High School in 1959 at the young age of 16 years old. She was an amazing wedding planner. One of the weddings she most proud of she was tasked to make a dress that was light weight so the bride did not sink in the water. She was an amazing seamstress. She created some of the coolest cakes for everyone she knew for their weddings, birthdays and people being sealed in the temple etc. She also enjoyed painting, over the years she painted many pictures for her children and grandchildren. She had a wood shop and made many works of art that she sold. One thing that us kids remember were the penguins and ducks with flapping feet and wooden Christmas ornaments. She loved many of her children's friends and treated them as her own. Her most cherished accomplishment was being a homemaker and mother. Her children have created an even larger family with lots of wonderful significant others, amazing grandchildren and cherished great-grandchildren whom she loved each and every one of them with all her heart.
She is survived by her sister Barbara (Sherman) Christensen, son Evan (Jill) Smith, daughter Kathleen (Ardie) Johnson, son Dan (Tiffany) Smith, daughter Ranae (Gregory) Neely, son Jeff (Danielle) Smith, daughter Heather (troy) Chateau, daughter Shellie Smith, 18 Grandchildren , 5 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Grandchild on the way.
She was preceded in death by her mother Margaret, father Lloyd, Her ex-husband Ronald Smith, her grandson Justin Johnson any aunts, uncles and cousins.
