Linda Lee James, "Lee", passed away peacefully on April 4, 2024 after a long fight with many health issues.
Linda was the youngest born of Melvin and Euleta Burton in Salt Lake City, 1943.
She was raised with a great love of animals, especially her horses.
She graduated from Granite High school, and then the adventures begin.
From her own cleaning service, construction, bartending, hair dressing, to fire eating in Vegas--not much slowed her down. After an accident, she found new love in ceramics. Owning her own shop with her husband, she found new happiness in art that lead to oil painting and stained glass.
She took great pride in her ceramic pieces, with which she won many awards. She took even more pride in her students and their pieces and accomplishments.
Linda is survived by her husband, Larry James; daughter, Sherry James; sons Duane Sorenson and family, Daryl Sorenson (Jeannie), Lynn Sessions (Billee) and family. Sister Donnette Scott and her family; sister-in-law Gayle Burton and her family; and her late sister Beverly Munro's family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Euleta Burton; sisters Diane and Barbara Burton, and Beverly Munro. Brother-in-law James Scott; and brother Darrell Burton.
Funeral services will be held at the Winder 3rd Ward building on Thursday, April 11, 2024, followed by interment at Salt Lake City Cemetery.
