Lola May Jackson

Lola May Burgess Jackson passed from this life to her Eternal home on October 17, 2022. She was greeted by those who preceded her in death including her mother Donna Waite Burgess (1988), father Howard “Bud” Burgess (2002), brother Dennis Burgess (1958), sister Gloria Burgess Murphy (1972), brother Gerald Burgess (2021), sister Madeleine Burgess Tronier (2021), sister Connie Burgess Jones (2021). She left behind her husband Daniel G Jackson, children; David (Terri), Mark (Summer), Aaron (Michelle), Stephen (Holly), Rebekah, Deborah (Daniel), John (Brecken), Lisa Duke Wilson, sister Marilynn Burgess Sullivan and 32 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Lola was born in Las Vegas, NV on June 21, 1941. She had a mostly happy childhood with her many siblings. When she was 11 years old fate brought her to live across the street from her future soul mate, Dan Jackson. On her 20th birthday they were married. In 1978 Dan and Lola moved their family to St George, UT where she spent the rest of her life. Lola had a beautiful singing voice that she credited her father for. She had a passion for genealogy and spent many hours researching her family the hard way. She was very creative and found many outlets to show that creativity. She perfected the art of being both a mother and a friend to her children – they could talk to her about anything. She was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law and sister. Her family is saddened by her death but elated that she has gone home to her Heavenly Father. She will be forever missed.
