Our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and sister passed away with her loving family by her side on March 20, 2013 due to respiratory failure.
Mom was born, to Byard and Elda Tuft in Spring Canyon, Utah, the first daughter of seven children.
Mom enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved going to Scofield, Defa's, camping, boating, really anything outdoors. She was always crocheting, quilting, and being creative, and her most recent hobby was playing games on her computer. She loved her family and friends fiercely and would freely give anything to help if needed. Mom always spoke her mind; we always knew her thoughts and feelings. Mom had a very special bond to granddaughter Cheltsy, and great grandson Jeffery whom she helped raise.
She is the mother of seven children, RaeLynn (Paul) Kooyman, Randy (Lee) Butters, Mark (Michelle) Sisam, Lora Lee (Al) Bennent, Debbie Elkington, Ricky Drake, and JoLayne (Tony) Carlsen: three brothers, one sister, 22 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 1 great, great-grandson and 1 soon to born great-granddaughter.
Preceded in death by parents, bother Morris Tuft, sister Jean Jensen and grandson's Michael Drake and Logan Bennent
Mom's wishes were to be cremated. A Memorial to celebrate her life and share stories will be held on Wednesday March 27, at Wells Ward 1975 S. 500 E. Salt Lake City, UT. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to help with expenses. Our sincere thanks to the Huntsman Cancer Hospital for their loving care of our Mom.
