Luxie Marie Merkl passed away on February 29, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones.
Luxie Marie Merkl was born on December 30, 1955 to Anton and Shirley Merkl. She had 4 sons and loved them very much. She married the love of her life, Jay Hurst, on November 15, 2013. Luxie loved to cook and bake. She would bake for weeks during November, just so she could give all her goodies to the ones she loved for Christmas. She was loved by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed.
She was preceeded in death by her father Anton, her mother Shirley and her son Terry.
She is survived by her husband, Jay Hurst, her sons Tony(Jama), Tim(Tia), and Tom(Heidi), her sister Linda(Wayde) Barns, nieces, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
There will be no services. She will be laid to rest in her final resting place in Illinois later this year!
