Lynette Anderson Engle

July 20, 1952 — April 16, 2025

The family of Lynette Anderson Engle announce her death and return to our Heavenly Father, and we express gratitude to God for the blessing she was and is in our lives. Lynette was born on July 20, 1952 in Payson, Utah. She died on April 16, 2025 in Taylorsville, Utah. She is a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Words alone are insufficient to express the impact of Lynette’s love, service, kindness and positive support for her family, friends, and anyone in need she met. To interact with Lynette is to see Christ-like charity in action. She was a lifelong and devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she served faithfully in many various callings. She delighted in the service of others.

Lynette’s parents are Raymond (“Ray”) G. Anderson (predeceased) and Sarah (“Sally”) Summerhays. Lynette is survived by her mother, multiple brothers and sisters, children, grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her father, brother Craig Anderson, prior ex-husband Roy and their son Caleb.

Lynette grew up in Hunter, Utah. She graduated from college with a nursing degree, and worked as a nurse in nursing care facilities for over 40 years. She was kind and attentive to her many, many patients, and beloved by her co-workers.

Lynette loved spending time with her family, scrapbooking, mystery tv shows, learning about the Lord’s gospel, and was quite the snow skier in her younger years.
