Born in Ma'ufanga Tongatapu, Tonga and passed away on Thursday March 22, 2018 in Ogden Utah with his family by his side. Survived by his loving wife, Fakatoumafi Lavulo Tasola and 4 children. Mary Ann (Samisoni Uasilaa), Ofa Lehauli, Peter Lehauli (Ashley Ann) and Edwin Lehauli (Foliaki). 11 Grandchildren- Tevita, William, Ammon, Malakai Pulumu, Meleane, Kyran James, Siakale, Ofa Ngaloafe, Keana Ruth, William Tevita Gilikai, and Keaton Lawrence. His siblings, Tulikimoana Tasola (Mele), Fe'iloaki Tukia ('Alatini), Sioeli Maile, and Mosese Maile (Siu).
Preceded in death, mother, Pasimati Maile, father, Siosiua Tasola. His brothers, Sione Tasola, Inoke Maile, and Samuela Maile.
Malakai known as "Molo" loved the sport of Rugby. He played for Tonga's Ikale Tahi National Team representing Ma'ufanga. He played Flanker for the National Team. He played number "8" and was the Team Captain for the Ma'ufanga Team.
In 1981 WRU celebrated the 100th Anniversary of Rugby, and called for 3 best players from each country to make up the overseas world team. Molo was honored to be one of the three chosen from Tonga.
His passion in life was Rugby as a player, mentor, coach and fan. He was at all of his older grandsons' rugby games, football games, soccer games and basketball games. He was their number "1" fan!
His memorial services will be on Wednesday March 28, 2018 at Layton 5th Ward, 202 W. 1675 N. Layton Utah. Family viewing at 8am-10:30am and Bishop Services at 11am-12noon. Interment will follow at Lindquist Memorial Park 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. Layton Utah.
