Marion Elizabeth

d. October 20, 2017

1954 ~ 2017

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend left this world to her heavenly home on October 18, 2017, after a short battle with cancer, surrounded by her family.  Marion was born on January 31, 1954 to Manuel and Hilda Gonzalez in Oceanside, California.

She was a faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church for 35 plus years where she made many lifelong friends. Marion met the love of her life, Alvin, in Oceanside, California and they married on September 29, 1972.  During their early years of marriage, they traveled and enjoyed each other's company.  They were eventually blessed with their miracle baby, Celena.  Celena brought great joy and happiness to her parents.  She blessed them with 3 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren.

Marion volunteered for many organizations throughout her life. She was a member of the Navy Wives Club of America in Camp Pendleton Club #276, the Girl Scouts and volunteered with Youth for Understanding (YFU).  Alvin and Marion hosted 31 foreign exchange students over the years.  They loved each and every one of them as their own as well as all the military veterans who lived with them throughout the years.

Marion was the most loving and giving person to all her family and friends. She loved everyone unconditionally.

Marion is survived by her husband Alvin of 45 years; daughter Celena (Brian), several grandchildren, mother Hilda, brother Mark (Vicky), sisters, Cynthia (Grant), Pauline (Jeff), Lydia (Harold) and many nieces, nephews, special friends, and her beloved fur babies. She was preceded in death by her father.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church at 4290 West 5415 South, Kearns, UT 84118.
