Angel was born on May 8th 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri to Charles Harrison Jr. and Ruth Holmes. She had a successful career as a registered nurse. She raised two sons and helped raise four of her granddaughters. Because of her deep love for her grandchildren she had recently moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to be closer to them and her son.
Angel was deeply in love with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was raised in church and found herself singing in the choir of her childhood church, Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church. Her love continued to grow and was shown through her involvement in her home church, Beacon Hill Church of the Nazarene, which she loved dearly. There she led Praise and Worship. She was a mighty prayer warrior, loving mother, grandmother, and friend.
Her family paid this tribute to her, Mama Angel was a woman who had a spirit of love. She always had words of wisdom to share no matter what situation or circumstance you found yourself in. These words were always given without judgement and never came across in a way that would make you feel she thought any less of you. No matter how sick, in pain or uncomfortable she was herself she would always have a smile waiting for you. Mama Angel had a magnetism about her that once you met her you knew you wanted to always stay in touch with her.
She is survived by her son Markilo Allen (Jennifer).
