1925 ~ 2015
Norma was born on August 8, 1925. She was the ninth child born to Oline Steffensen Stockseth and Rudolph Martinius Jensen Stockseth. Her early childhood was spent exploring Millcreek Canyon and downtown Salt Lake City. She graduated from West High School and LDS Business College.
At an early age, even before she could read, she loved books and she knew she wanted to read them. Since then she has been an avid reader. Her great comfort in life was the weekly stop at the nearest library.
During Norma's high school years she was a dancer and wrote and directed road shows.
When she graduated from high school Norma worked as a secretary until she met and married her beloved husband Blaine Dwight Lancaster on April 16, 1951. They had six children Laura, Deborah, Mary, Jeffrey, Shelley and Amy. She raised her children on poetry, music, and love and considered them her best friends.
Norma worked for Kennecott, Hercules, and Questar. She retired from Questar in 1990. After retirement she served a mission in the Family History Library.
Norma enjoyed her grandchildren and provided many detailed lectures, memories and hugs.
