1955 ~ 2014

Raymond Craig Dipo (59) passed away October 27, 2014 in Salt Lake City, Utah.  He was born September 21, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Dan Raymond Dipo and Helen Betty Spetsas.

Craig was a devoted father who was dedicated to his family. He was a hard worker and always kept himself busy with remodeling and home improvement projects. He worked in the concrete business with his family and later started his own family business "Pure Flavor Old Fashion Sucker Shop". He pioneered metal sucker molds, sucker trees and sucker recipes that didn't turn to sugar. He was a manager for AGLL/Heritage Quest and was instrumental in printing the 1920 census project. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served as a temple worker, stake missionary and home teacher.

Craig had many hobbies.  His love for electronics led to his anticipation of every new upgrade from VCR's to telephones and everything in between. He spent many hours recording movies and TV shows, he was particularly fond of The Highlander, X-Files and other sci-fi movies. He was famous for his spaghetti, homemade sugar cookies, his soda fountain machine and his exotic birds.

Craig's greatest happiness came from seeing his family achieve and succeed. He did all that he could to help them. He had a passion for martial arts and his greatest dream was realized when Mike and Danny earned their black belts. Karate tournaments became family vacations where many memories were made. Craig celebrated all of his children's accomplishments and was especially happy to see Jen graduate from nursing school. HIs legacy will live on in the hearts of his children and grandchildren. He is loved and will be missed by all those who knew him.

He is survived by his father, Dan (Helen) Dipo, children, Jen (Brett Jacobsen, Michael (Misty) Dipo, Daniel (Misty) Dipo, eight granddaughters, one brother and two sisters.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Spetses Dipo, and sister, Lezlee S. Dipo McGee.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Copper City 1st Ward, Sarah Jane Chapel, located at 5422 South Sarah Jane Drive, Kearns, Utah 84118.  Friends and family may call one hour prior to services.  Interment will be at Riverton City Cemetery located at 13200 South 1500 West, Riverton, Utah 84065.
