Raymond H. Richards, born July 25, 1936 in Kenilworth, Utah to Susie Nel Rasmussen and George Arthur Richards. He died April 4, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving wife after a hard fought battle with a lung disease.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra, his two sons, Lance (Kathy), and Todd, Sandra's three daughters Teresea Hendricks, Lynette (Tom) Lawrence and Shantelle (Jeff) Frehner. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and brother George (Diane) Richards. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Betty Stinger and son Robert Richards. He married Marian and later divorced. He then married Sandra Bea Dailey in 1990.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. As a youth he attended schools in Carbon County Utah and the University of Utah. He was a private in the United States Army and was stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany. He owned various businesses and developed various products throughout his lifetime. He loved to fish, fish, and fish!
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the South cottonwood LDS Ward located at 5605 South Vine Street, Murray, Utah. A viewing will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Utah Veterans Memorial Park, Bluffdale, Utah.
