Robert Christopher Brown

d. June 26, 2020

1963 ~ 2020

Robert Christopher (Chris) Brown died on June 15, 2020. He was born in Zweibrucken, Germany on June 15, 1963 and grew up in Swansboro, North Carolina. His biological parents were Robert Brown and Judy Moseley. They divorced when he was 5 and Chris was adopted and raised by his paternal grandparents, Gratis Clay Brown and Nelle Stephen Thompson Brown. He had great love for his grandparents, both of whom are deceased. He is survived by his wife, Lori Annette Garner Brown and many friends. He was the proud father of two children who he dearly loved, Morgan and Regan.

Chris loved music and always regretted not being able to play an instrument well. Eric Clapton and the Red Hot Chili Peppers were some of his favorites. Chris was from a family with a history of military service and was the first to complete college and to serve in the army as a commissioned officer. He proudly served and fought for his country from 1985 to 1992.

God was also an important part of Chris' life and after his military service, he chose to pursue advanced degrees in religion and worked as a Baptist Pastor for many years. He was baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on July 21, 2019 and began a career as a Special Education Teacher at Kearns High School. He found great fulfillment as a teacher, but, sadly, his life and work were cut short.
