A hard-working, family-centered husband, father and grandfather peacefully passed away. He was preceded in death by his angel daughter.
Sau Tafisi was born in Nuku'alofa, Tonga, to Sifa and Sela Tafisi. He is the oldest of eight children, whom he deeply loved. He devoted his life to serving others, including on a service mission where he committed his construction talents to help build Liahona High School. He ventured from Tonga to Samoa, where he met and married his wife, 'Elenoa. They were sealed in the New Zealand LDS temple, and later relocated their growing family to Pomona and Glendale. He cherished his wife, 'Elenoa. Together, they built a solid foundation for their children and grandchildren; their family is his prized possession.
Sau was a God-fearing man with a big heart. He was a well-known handyman, having been skilled and licensed in several trades. His work, especially his volunteer work, ngaue 'ofa, touched the lives of many throughout the Pacific islands and western region of the United States. No task was too big, and he loved all that he served.
Sau's legacy of service and faith lives on through his children and grandchildren.
