Sherrie Carlson

Sherrie Carlson lost her long battle with cancer Tuesday morning, April 4, 2017, with her loved ones by her side. Sherrie was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, March 30, 1949, to Benjamin and Bertha Phillips. She married (Lonnie) Warren Leon Carlson on July 16, 1969. She was 68.

She was very loved and will be missed by many. She was an amazing loving wife, mother and Grandmother. Family was very important to her. She loved outings with family. Camping trips to sit by the fire and roast hot dogs was her favorite and she loved ATV riding.

She is survived by her husband Lonnie, son Kyle (Alisa) Carlson, daughter Shauna (Ed) Jensen, daughter Sharmaine (Ron) Leavitt, brother Wendell (Doris) Phillips, brother Melvin (Georgia) Phillips and sister Merle (Gilbert) Pangos, 22 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father Benjamin Phillips, mother Bertha Phillips and brother Benny Phillips, brother Floyd Phillips, sister Wanda Carlson, son James Reid, son Randy Carlson and son Leon Carlson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at the Chapel at Utah Veterans Memorial Park located at 17111 South 1700 West, Bluffdale, Utah. A viewing will be held at that same location at 10:00 a.m. prior to services. Interment to follow services at Memorial Redwood Cemetery located at 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
