Steven Gene Kaufman

d. August 14, 2018

1962~2018 Steven Gene Kaufman left us for a better life on August 7, 2018. He was born on July 4, 1962 (56) in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He has been married and divorced.

He is survived by his dog Junior (who he loved dearly), mother and stepfather, Myrna Hupka and Arthur Hupka, daughter, Jenifer Bywater, and step daughters Tiffiny Smith and Angel Marshall.

He was preceded in death by his father Erwin Garth Kaufman and his brother Keith Kaufman.

When Steven was little he spent lots of vacations at Yellowstone and Flaming Gorge. He enjoyed camping and fishing and just being outdoors.

He graduated high school in Grand Rapids, Michigan and then entered the Marines.

One of Steven's recent passions was his garden. He loved to tell his mother that his green peppers were bigger than hers or when proven wrong said "his were a darker green". Steven tried to grow tomatoes but could never get enough so as soon as the Farmers Market was open he was there taking home about thirty each week. He consumed them with a passion.

He loved watching birds. He had a repaired humming bird feeder that was always busy with the birds. Steven had a love for sci-fi movies or books. He always had a new DVD waiting for him at the library. Steven loved to cook. He was always coming up with a new recipe for spicy tomato juice or dill pickles. He loved to bar-b-que, roast turkeys, beef or pork roasts, steaks, etc. that he would share with his friends. He had a love for his friends. He tried to help everyone that he could.
