William "Art" Arthur Shipley passed away Monday, October 14, 2013, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born March 1, 1953 in Clearfield, Pennsylvania to Frank Harris Shipley, Jr. and Marion Naomi Taylor Shipley. He married Renee Grace Nowak on January 9, 1983.
Art loved brewing beer and reading. He served honorably in the United States Navy for 24 1/2 years. He enjoyed 30 happy years of marriage to Renee.
He is survived by his sweet wife, Renee, sisters Barbara Quick (Charles) and Ruthann Moyer (Mike Carr), and brother Frank Shipley III. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Marion, his parents-in-law Edward and Mary Nowak, and brothers-in-law Eugene Nowak and Edward A. Nowak.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 21, 2013, at the Duda Ruck Funeral Home located at 7922 Wise Avenue, Dundalk, Maryland, with a viewing to be held on Sunday, October 20, 2013. Interment will be at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, Dundalk, Maryland.
